Jutting out into the famous Mira River and only minutes from Sydney or Fortress Louisbourg National Historic site, Mira River Provincial Park is the perfect escape.

Visitors must practice physical distancing throughout the park.

  • Wood & Ice available at park office, credit/debit payment preferred cash will be accepted
  • WiFi available at the park office and surrounding area. Password required, please see the park receptionist.
  • Dump station open to registered campers only
  • Self-registration from September 5th to October 19th 
Restrictions:
  • Comfort Station
    • Reduced capacity, access limited to one household at a time
    • Open 9 am - 9 pm - closed periodically for cleaning throughout the day
    • Closed overnight 9 pm - 9 am
    • Reduced number of vault toilets available throughout the park 
  • Park Office ​
    • Service to campers at drive-up window preferred, in person check in not required 
    • Entry limited to one visitor inside at a time,  please adhere to the direction provided on signage or from staff
    • Only campers with reservations will be allowed to enter campgrounds 
Closures:
  • Campsites 79, 105, 126, & 132 are closed
  • Group shelter​ closed 
  • Comfort station (washroom facilities) in loop D are currently closed.
  • Laundry facilities closed 
An electronic entrance gate system is in place. Campers will be charged a $3.50 deposit for the card. This charge will be refunded upon the return of the card when their camping stay is over. Please stop at the admin building when leaving to receive the $3.50 refund.
