Burn Ban in Effect at Provincial Campgrounds

Burn Ban in Effect at Provincial Campgrounds

Open fires – including campfires – are prohibited provincewide until further notice. The ban was set through a proclamation by the Minister of Natural Resources. The fine for violating the ban is $25,000.

During the burn ban, devices such as gas stoves/barbeques and charcoal briquette barbeques can still be used any time, following manufacturers’ instructions.

Campfires and smoking are never allowed in day-use parks.
