Smileys Provincial Park sustained extensive damage during the July 2023 floods. The Birch loop camping area and the day-use area had the most significant damage.

Smileys will open later than usual this season. Campsites will initially show as “closed” on our online reservation system this spring.

We are doing repairs at campsites 16 – 80. Later this season, we anticipate being able to open them but we do not yet have a date when we will start taking reservations. We will post an update here and on social media when we are able to start taking reservations.

Campsites 1 – 15 are closed indefinitely while we determine next steps. Planning, design, consultation and a management plan will be forthcoming over the coming fiscal year.
