Graves Island Provincial Park closed for the season on September 7th. The boat launch will close on September 15th. The early closure is needed for significant upgrades to the Graves Island causeway. The causeway will be rebuilt one meter higher than the existing infrastructure to protect the park from the impacts of flooding, erosion, and rising sea levels. The causeway project is expected to be completed in advance of the 2027 park season. During the closure there will be no access to Graves Island.
