Chemical Advisory - Laurie Park

The drinking water at Laurie Provincial Park is subject to a chemical advisory and is posted as not safe for drinking or cooking due to an exceedance of the Maximum Allowable Concentration (MAC) for lead. Potable water is only available from the tap adjacent to the comfort station and within the comfort station itself. We apologize for any inconvenience. The dishwash station at Laurie Park is temporarily unavailable. Staff are working to remediate the issue.

Provincial camping parks water systems are operated and tested in accordance with Canadian Drinking Water Standards as regulated by Nova Scotia Environment. More information can be found on the NSE website https://novascotia.ca/nse/water/drinking.water.asp
