Camping - COVID-19

Camping - COVID-19

Restrictions are subject to change as public health restrictions change.

  • Campsite bookings are open to Nova Scotia residents and anyone from a jurisdiction (province or territory) that is not required by a Public Health Order to self-isolate upon arrival to Nova Scotia.
  • Reservations are required in advance of arrival at a camping park. No drive-up bookings.
  • Auto check-in: All parks will operate using auto check-in; eliminating the need for campers to stop at the park office.
  • COVID-19 screening: questions will be administered through a reminder email four days prior to arrival at the campground.
  • Visitors are not permitted in the campground, registered campers only.
  • Campsite closures: overflow sites, double sites, and group sites will be closed to start the 2021 camping season.
  • Cabins at Cape Chignecto will remain closed.
  • Campsite use: A campsite permit includes up to 6 people and one vehicle. Campers must follow current public health guidelines for gathering limits and physical distancing.
  • Group use campsites will remain closed.
  • Laundry facilities will not be available
