Visitor Notice

A new electronic entrance gate system is now in place. Campers will be charged a $3.50 deposit for the card. This charge will be refunded upon the return of the card when their camping stay is over. Please stop at the admin building when leaving to receive the $3.50 refund.

Jutting out into the famous Mira River and only minutes from Sydney or Fortress Louisbourg National Historic site, Mira River Provincial Park is the perfect escape. It is close enough for day trips into the city or the many attractions found in the area..

The quiet water-side setting offers a wide range of outdoor opportunities including camping, walking, boating, canoeing, water skiing, fishing, and swimming.

Facilities and Services

The park has 156 campsites, 51 open (44 water and electric sites), 40 Partially Wooded (15 water and electric), 65 Wooded. The park has a picnic area, a boat launch, and a trailer dump station. The large unsupervised beach is ideal for families to play.

WiFi is available at the admin building and surrounding area. Password required, please see the park receptionist.

Camping reservations can be made beginning April 2, 2017.
